GATHA is committed to fostering inclusive, vibrant, and trustworthy event experiences. As a platform facilitating ticket sales for diverse events, we recognize the importance of clear refund policies to maintain trust between venues, organizers, and attendees.
Organiser Responsibilities
At GATHA, inclusivity and diversity are at the heart of what we do, creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.

Setting Refund Policies: Event organizers are required to establish and clearly communicate their refund policies during event creation. This policy will be visible on the event listing and during the checkout process

Responding to Refund Requests: Organizers must respond to refund requests within five (5) business days. Failure to do so may result in GATHA intervening to process the refund on behalf of the attendee, with associated costs charged to the organizer.

Event Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation, organizers are obligated to issue full refunds to all ticket holders, regardless of the stated refund policy.
Attendee Rights

Understanding Refund Policies: Attendees should review the refund policy associated with each event before purchasing tickets.

Submitting Refund Requests: If eligible, attendees can request refunds through their GATHA account or by contacting the event organizer directly.

Refund Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on the payment provider.
GATHA's Role

Facilitating Refunds: While GATHA provides the platform for ticket sales, the responsibility for setting and honoring refund policies lies with the event organizers.

Intervention: In cases where organizers fail to respond to refund requests within the stipulated timeframe, GATHA reserves the right to process refunds directly and recover the amount from the organizer.

Policy Changes: Organizers can modify their refund policies to be more flexible after publishing an event. However, to implement a more restrictive policy, the event must be unpublished, and existing orders refunded.
Non-Refundable Situations

Certain scenarios may not qualify for refunds, including but not limited to:

Change in personal circumstances preventing attendance.

Event rescheduling (unless the new date is unsuitable for the attendee).

Partial attendance or dissatisfaction with the event experience.
